Owens wins ADRL PXM/sets new class record at Palm Beach International Raceway

Ashely Owen and the Fast By Gast PXM drag bike is on a rampage so far in 2011. After running a stunning 4.05 to take the #1 qualifying position in the high heat,high humidity last week during the Manufacturers Spring Cup at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

The team packed the transporter and headed straight down to Palm Beach International Raceway in West Palm Beach for the ADRL Safety-Kleen Spring Drags.

Owens going for his second win of the season in ADRL competition, set the PXM ET Record to a 4.012 at Palm Beach International Raceway in front of thousands of fans.

Competition rounds would be no different as he quickly made his way past foes and  posting a best eliminations elapsed time against Manufacturers Spring Cup Runner Up Richard Gadson aboard his Cooper performance PXM entry.

The Fast by Gast PXM  team went head to head with the Wilkerson team for the finals and took the win with a 4.04

“The bike was just perfect all weekend,” Owens said.

“It’s just so consistent. I love it. It’s definitely the best bike I’ve ever been on.” “We tried to push it a little in the final, but we didn’t want to do anything crazy,” Owens said.
