Parrish Crash video from Milan

Thanks to Kurt Matthews for sending in the video!

DragbikeLive broke the news Friday  July 2 2010 that Eunice DreamRyder Parrish,a popular pro street racer (on white and green bike) and the class’s only woman rider has crashed while testing/racing Friday night July 2nd 2010  at Milan raceway in Michigan. Initial reports coming in indicate the bike and rider went down at the finish line. Injury’s were  not   life threaten.

Reports are she left the hospital, had a cat scan came back good and  her arm is in a sling and hand is wrapped up till she can see her doc at home.

Parish left a comment/statement to Dragbike Live and to her fans, on the original news story, http://dragbikelive.com/news/archives/1079

“Thanks everyone… sore but doin well… separated left shoulder and fractured left hand. Bike has yet been taken apart for a thorough inspection.. but def needs alot of front end work due to bike continuing on down track into cement wall after i put it down on it’s left side trying to avoid a highside..

the shinko hookup drag tire broke the bead and completely deflated during the run after the 1000? mark at 170 mph causing the bike to get out of control.. i tried my best to bring it back straight but wasn’t able to. According to my short times 3.32 @ the 330 and 4.97 @ the 1/8 this would have been a new best for me 7.48 would have been the final ET if not for the tire coming off. Track was hookin and bike was pullin hard. Nem was on a roll with his tunes for his bike that day.. Just glad me and my bike missed my opponent as he passed me completely at the finish line as i had slowed down to 155 for a final et of 7.73.

Yes this was my 2nd crash.. first one was May of 2008 due to shock binding up on my swingarm causing bike to go into a violent wheelie right off the line.

Just curious how many times has all the other ProStreet Racers been involved in a crash, it’s not a matter of if u go down it’s when.. that’s why you wear the best protection you can get it… pays off!”

Get well soon and have a speedy recovery!

thanks Dave – feelin a lil better every week.. shoulder still sore but all in all much better.
D.Mc – it was the rear shock that bound up with the swing arm couple years ago (not the tire) and that was my fault – after adjusting the ride height in a rush before going up to staging lanes, I didn’t double check the clearance of the coils on the shock to the swingarm (new swingarm for that season) and when I had adjusted the ride height it didnt’ allow for enough clearance for the coils on teh shock causing it to act like a strut at the line and on a prostreet bike that’s not a good thing LOL.. as for the tire deal.. That’s a shinko issue.. there has been a total of 4 prostreet racers with this issue of the Shinko Hookup not staying on the rim and we are waiting for Shinko to get back to us on this issue as apparently nothing has been done yet to admit nor rectify the problem.
